Your Votes Were Counted

Three years ago, I was offered an opportunity of a lifetime - to work for the North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture.  While making a difficult decision to leave my AgCarolina Farm Credit family as a Loan Officer, and the agriculture community that I served,  

I set a personal goal to run for the AgCarolina Farm Credit Board of Directors at some point in the future. 

In July 2023, I was afforded the opportunity to embark on this journey when I was extended an interview with the nomination committee for Region #1 (Harnett/Wake) Director.  In October, I was able to publicly declare my candidacy and since that time many folks expressed support of my campaign through social media posts, phone calls, mailers and website visits.  Many of you have reached out to others that you know to endorse your faith in me for this position.  For these efforts I am most thankful!

As of this week, the ballots have all been counted and I am unfortunately not the winner of the race.  While not selected as Region #1 Director,  I am thankful for the support of all of you during this process.  Each of you believed in not only my qualifications and strong passion for agriculture but also my integrity, honesty, and experience.  

Congratulations to Mr. Jon Pope for having been selected as the Region #1 AgCarolina Farm Credit Board of Director.  I wish him well and trust that he will have our best interests in mind as he helps to lead our agriculture lending organization.
